To Sunne by train, bus, taxi or air

"Fryksdalsbanan" is one of Sweden's most scenic railways and a comfortable way to get to Sunne. The beautiful surroundings are said to be the inspiration for Nangijala for the world-famous writer Astrid Lindgren.

Bus and taxi stations are close to the railway station.

Trains

"Fryksdalsbanan" is the local railway with several daily trains to Kil and Karlstad for further connetions.

Airport


Karlstad airport, 40 minutes south of Sunne, has several daily departures for Stockholm and Copenhagen. There are also charter flights from the airport.

Daily air service also Torsby airport - Stockholm Arlanda. 

Car and bus


Route E45 is passing Sunne. By car, it takes about 50 minutes to Karlstad, 25 minutes to Torsby, 4 hours to Stockholm, 3 hours to Gothenburg or 2 hours to Oslo.

There are several daily bus departures.
